The Chevrolet Express Van is offered in various models: Work van, Cutaway and Passenger Van, and in various configurations: G3500 Extended Wheelbase, G3500, G2500 Extended Wheelbase, G2500, G1500 AWD and G1500.

A full-size van for cargo and passengers, the Chevrolet Express sports as standard features only climate-control, antilock braking system, power window/locks, theft-prevention feature and two seats. However, the options include swing-out doors for passenger (instead of sliding ones), rear compartment air conditioning/heater system, cruise control, fabric upholstery, tilt adjustable steering wheel, stereo CD and keyless access.

Features

New features (over the previous models) include tire-pressure monitor, additional driver information, headlight switch, redesigned safety belt, new instrument panel configuration, radio and switches for window movements. The Express' interior furnishings are more functional than luxurious, but for a cargo van, luxury is usually an option. However, its safety star rating is highest at five stars.

Passenger models feature four doors (two front doors, two-panel passenger door and two-panel rear door); the Cutaway has two cab doors while the Cargo Van sports four doors (two front doors, one or two cargo side doors and rear door).

Add-on accessories for the Chevrolet Express Van include hitch ball mount for towing, weather deflectors for side windows, bicycle or ski carrier, molded hood protector, roof ladder and a roof rack for carrying items from luggage to boats.
