Chevrolet Uplander Cargo Van for Sale

The Small-Sized Van with Pretensions

The Uplander Cargo Van's 3.9L, 240-hp V6 engine offers power and smooth operation in a 4-speed automatic front-wheel drive that gives good traction in snow and rain. Fuel consumption is rated at 16 city and 23 highway miles per gallon. The engine can also run on ethanol with its Flex Fuel technology to help save gas and protect the environment.

The extended hood and C-pillar form almost disguises the van for a SUV, even if the sliding door was a giveaway. Nevertheless, the effect was very positive, and in some cases even better than a SUV, with the lower floor and roof rack that make for better and easier access. The 17-inch wheels lend a sporty look to the minivan, something others don't have. A remote capability allows the user to start the van's engine from as far as 500 feet, which is a big help in cold weather and emergencies.

Interior Comfort and Luxury

This minivan's seating design can accommodate seven persons at a pinch, though a little cramped (but hey! It IS a mini) at the shoulders with about 60 inches headroom and about 40 inches legroom. However, riding in French-stitched upholstery seams on the door and seat panels, plus superb dashboard and instrumentation clustering design, and super-duper ambient sound insulation, along with the music from a DVD entertainment set-up, makes riding in the van a very pleasant experience.

Recapping

In total, the Uplander Van is a van of its own kind, one with unique characteristics both good and bad. Though smaller in size and narrower in wheelbase spread than the usual vans, it is easier to maneuver and park. If it pretends to be a SUV in form, it achieves it in interior appointments. If the inside space is rather limited, the power to haul what it contains is more than enough. And though it calls itself a minivan, it can also be a two- person car.
