Mazda's Blast from the Past Truck

Although introduced just recently, the Mazda B-series compact truck has all the signs of being of the 1990s. How it existed more than a decade before it finally shows up can only be speculated on. It can only be said that Mazda wanted to keep the highlights of the 1990s and let it live through this compact truck.

Being stuck in the 1990s has its advantages. For one, a compact truck is quite lightweight, therefore packing more speed. It also needs less gasoline, which for the penny pincher, sounds like beautiful music especially considering the oil crisis affecting the world today.

While other truck manufacturers are vying for the spot of being the most spacious, most comfortable, and most luxurious truck known to man, the Mazda B-series plods on in its small and petite world. It offers the standard cab for the average family as well as an extended cab for that extra person. The transmission may be in automatic or in manual, both using 5 speeds each. It also comes in several models - B2300, B3000 and the robust B4000.
